Stop cradling the potted plant in your arms to protect it from the one who can make it into a forest of fruitful trees. Ask God to show you a picture of the future in His heart for you, receive the zooming lens of the Spirit and plant BOLDLY. Those that sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.
The word for today is here. The picture that I see is that of a potted plant, the plant within it looks like it’s still young, at that stage where you move plants from the greenhouse / nursery to the farmland that has been tilled in preparation for planting.
The person holding this potted plant saw a dugout hole in the farm where the plant is supposed to go into, but hesitated, torn between planting the seed with the pot still covering it or removing it from the pot with the soil around it and actually transplanting it.
If the pot is removed, that is a transplant process, if the pot is planted with the plant, that is a mere relocation. Retaining the pot would mean that it will take a longer period for the plant to grow and find its bearings and enjoy the nutrients in its new location.
The pot is like those clay pots that are made from mud and it looks like it will eventually disintegrate and blend with the fertile soil of the farm. But it will take time and it will lead to temporary frustration and raise doubts whether God planted you in this place or not.
Choose to act in faith today, take the pot away, give the plant room to spread its roots and to feed from the fertile soil prepared for it. Spread your wings and fly
A Few Implications of this Picture.
1. Drink deeply from the feeding systems God has given you spiritually. If he highlighted your church, your pastor or a father of faith or some resources as your nurturing system this season, go on and drink deeply and grow on account of feeding at the Lord’s feet.
2. If you have physically relocated, believe God for a miracle of growth and establishment, believe that your path is the path of the just and it shines brighter and brighter unto the glorious day. Never look back with nostalgia and wish for the “good old days” . They are good but the best is coming.
3. If you are a parent, make efforts to prayerfully and personally invest time in growing your children and exposing them to information that will give them a better quality of life than you had when you were their age. Bless them intentionally daily and believe God for the resources to give them the best your heart desires for them in line with Gods’ will for them.
4. Pray for eyes that see, pray that your light will not be darkness and you will identify what is pot and what is soil. That the enemy will not convince or cajole you out of God’s best for you and where you suspect that you have played safe and veered off on a tangent, that God Himself will recalibrate you and redirect you to the most lush paths and the yummiest part of your inheritance.
5. If you already are walking in obedience, act in faith as you stretch out for more and rely on God to direct those roots deep down into the earth, where human eyes cannot see. He will ensure that they draw the nutrients that turn a small plant into a forest and a little one into a father of nations.
Let me share with you what B sent to me yesterday when she got the mail I sent:
I was asked to look ahead. I saw trees in a far distance, then I was asked “do you see fruits”, i narrowed my eyes, and then, almost like I had the ability to zoom like a camera would, I saw the fruits on the trees. Some in bunches like banana bunches, some dangling like grapes. I wondered how come I hadn’t seen this way initially. I recall being so overwhelmed that i couldn’t speak and was writing my responses, later, the words came.
See our God… Just lookatthat…
God is writing a story with your life, stop cradling the potted plant in your arms to protect it from the one who can make it into a forest of fruitful trees. Ask God to show you a picture of the future in His heart for you, receive the zooming lens of the Spirit and plant BOLDLY. Those that sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.
The Bible says:
It’s not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the center of this process but God, who makes things grow. I Corinthians 3:7 MSG
God is at the center of your process and He is making you GROW.
You know someone that needs this particular encouragement. Send this to them today. Thank you.
Bye for Now.
